Three piece system
includes:
One male 37.5 deg. flare
- (butt welds to exhaust tubing or muffler)
One female 37.5 deg. flare
- (butt welds to exhaust tubing or muffler)
One locking nut (secures and seals)
Be sure to weld a little at a time and allow time for
the area to cool in between welds. Take care so you don't warp the
seating surface.
Take the same care when welding the male end and be
sure to place the nut on the pipe first.
Apply a bead of Permatex ultra copper high temp
silicon to one side.
Apply anti-seize to the threads before final assembly.
Now tighten the set screw in the face of the clamp. Be
sure to let the silicon dry for 24 hours before starting motor.
