Bare steel and ideas

Here I am siting in Thunder's bare body holding an early rendering of what it would become. At the point in time when this picture was taken the woody idea had not been thought of.

Another picture of me standing near the wagon.

Up Side Down

We chose to use a sand blaster to strip all of the hard to get to areas and the floors. The reason we didn't blast the whole car is because the blaster could warp the sheet metal.

We decided against the two tone

With all of the body work done and primer covering her, its time to make it official and shoot the single stage black glasurit.

Thunder looks cool, even in front of the more complete Lightning.

And there it is. With Lightning already painted we were anxious to get some color on Thunder.

Theres no replacement for displacement

Here's Bob and his son Jeff at the Ford SVO booth at the NSRA street rod nationals. Thunder will get one of their big 514 cubic inch big blocks.
